2010 “We Count on You!" Awards Celebration

Join Denver DOVIA to honor exceptional efforts by volunteers and volunteer managers at the annual “We Count on You!” awards ceremony.  

 

Cost includes a fabulous catered lunch and an awards ceremony hosted by Channel 7 Anchorman Mitch Jelniker.

 

When: Tuesday, September 28, 2010

Time:  11:30am - 1:30pm

Where: Mile High Station, Denver CO

Cost: $30/member, $35/non-member, $5/nominee

If you know an exceptional volunteer, group, or volunteer manager, we want to hear from you by September 3rd!  

Individual Volunteer (Youth & Adult): awarded to an individual who serves as a role model for others, generates interest in volunteerism and contributes to an organization's daily operations.

Volunteer Group (Youth or Adult): awarded to a group of volunteers who display teamwork in the community through sustained activity.

Corporate Individual or Group: awarded to an individual employee or group of employees who have supported their communities through exceptional volunteer efforts.

Board Member: awarded to an individual for outstanding leadership of an organization at the board level.

Volunteer Management: awarded to a volunteer administrator with innovative methods, creative problem solving, effective use of volunteer time and talent towards meeting organizational goals and the ability to involve others or how they have encouraged corporate employees to support their communities through volunteerism.

Who are we?
We are one of the country’s largest and most successful DOVIA’s.  Our members are enthusiastic and committed professionals who care deeply about promoting excellence in volunteer management.  We offer professional growth, networking, and leadership opportunities to both the experienced and new members in the field of volunteer management.

What do we do?
Denver DOVIA provides opportunities for professional growth in the field of volunteer management. We offer professional, relevant, and innovative educational enrichment sessions throughout the year.   The "We Count On You" recognition event, hosted annually by Denver DOVIA, honors volunteers and volunteer managers alike. These events provide ample opportunity for collaborating with peers, networking and resource building. Our goal is to provide a variety of ways to further your journey to excellence in volunteer management.

The mission of Denver DOVIA is to promote professionalism in the field of volunteer management, advocate for issues concerning volunteerism and provide networking and educational training opportunities for the membership.
